Boston Palestine Film Festival meets Taita Leila, part 2!

Boston, we're back!  The Boston Palestine Film Festival is bringing Palestinian embroidery to the forefront this year, closing with Carol Mansour's movie Stitching Palestine, a panel discussion featuring the director,  producer Muna Khalidi, and Wafa Ghnaim of Tatreez and Tea, and a stunning and extensive exhibition featuring some of our pieces! Behind the scenes: filming and prep for Taita Leila's collection number 2!

Check out the lovely Tala Soubra, an authority on all things embroidery from Dar el Tifl museum, being filmed by our cameraman in their exhibition space in Jerusalem. The museum was where we launched our line, with a playful event that you can read about here. We're back, but this time to capture some of our research on film, to accompany our next collection's release. Stay tuned!

Taita Leila is coming to Boston!

Taita Leila will be in Boston this Saturday!  The Boston Palestine Film Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a fundraising dinner before the annual program in October. The dinner includes a silent auction, featuring crafts and heritage items from all over Palestine, and we'll be taking part! We've sent over a three-piece set from our inaugural Qabbeh collection, each of a different type of embroidery: Bethlehem famous for its couched tahriri stitch, our bestseller Ramallah in cross-stitch, and the Galilee cape featuring patchwork.     T Though this festival is renowned for the incredible scope of film screened, what we like most about it is the tatreez logo!
